2012 Summer Shakespeare Festival
The Old Globe’s world-famous Shakespeare Festival returns again this summer with a rotating repertory of three classic plays: William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” and “Richard III” and Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee’s “Inherit the Wind.” All three shows play under the stars in the Globe’s beautiful outdoor theatre.

Helen Woodward Spring Fling Gala

The 24th annual Spring Fling black tie fundraiser at Helen Woodward Animal Center will be held on June 2, 2012 inside the Center’s Pavillion. The event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. features dinner and dancing as well as live and silent auctions. More than 20 of the top restaurants in San Diego will provide delicious fare to taste and enjoy! All proceeds benefit the pets and programs of Helen Woodward Animal Center. Tickets start at $250 per person. Sponsorship and auction opportunities are still available.


Take an Orphan Dog to Work Day

‘Take an Orphan to Work Day’ is an event at Helen Woodward Animal Center where anyone from a local business can come in and give an orphaned dog a ‘daycation.’ Through events like these, you can show family, friends and co-workers just how great orphaned animals are. The Ashford University Summer Pops is San Diego Symphony’s annual outdoor summer concert series. The concerts are performed on a stage we construct each year at Embarcadero Marina Park South, on San Diego Bay right behind the San Diego Convention Center. Seating options include cabaret tables, grandstand seating (fold-down chairs) and general admission lawn seating.

Improve your physical fitness, gain valuable information about Parkinson’s disease, and join a support network. Our safe and healing environment provides the tools to improve balance, strength, flexibility and endurance by using a variety of fitness tools. Our highly trained instructor is uniquely qualified to work with people who are living with Parkinson’s disease and gives individual attention to each class participant. Participants also receive monthly education and support from top San Diego practitioners.
